As you may have guessed if you’ve read any of my earlier blogs, I’m a fan of startups, mainly for the transformative power that launching a scalable business can have on a person’s life.
It enables them to become their own economic entity, creating a powerful income stream and a valuable asset that dismantles the need to work in a ‘regular’ job. That’s important, but that’s not the end of it.
Creating a startup is just that, a creative act. It requires the entrepreneur (the artist!) to draw on a thousand and one insights they have into the world, to channel those through 10,000 lines of code, shine them through the prism of customer need and then launch the result onto an unsuspecting world. It’s brave and it’s disruptive.
Undertaking that act, and launching a company, gives you “agency not just over your own life, but also over a small and important part of the world…rejecting the unjust tyranny of chance.” (Peter Thiel)
On the other hand, success in corporate life is mostly determined by chance. Maybe you’ll be in the right place at the right time and get great rewards. Perhaps you’ll find one good boss over a 40 year career. Perhaps you’ll tick all the right boxes to fill that vacant spot on the leadership team, but then again perhaps not.
At pNeura we provide the platform and a growing set of tools to enable entrepreneurs. And we want them to share their journey broadly, to set goals and achieve them, to reject the unjust tyranny of chance and make something important happen in a small part of the world that is important to them.
Our vision is to enable anyone to become their own economic entity to do something brave and disruptive. That’s what we’re on about.
